TODAYonline: Young anglers spreading message of sustainable fishing through social media and workshops

Speaking to TODAY last week, Haikkel Firdhaus, a student from Temasek Polytechnic, said that the importance of sustainable fishing practices hit him the day after the circuit breaker was lifted. Haikkel had created SGFishingRigz together with Co-Founders, Wayne Peh, Benjamin Brighton, and Lucas Phua in January 2021. They will be co-hosting a four-hour workshop with Marine Stewards at Bedok Jetty to educate new anglers on sustainable fishing practices.
