Our Story
In 2023, SGFishingRigz, now recognized as The SGFR Store, underwent a transformative journey into the snack industry. They acquired Yumada Fishing during this transition, merging all related activities into our brand. This collaboration gave birth to Yumada Fishing Tackles Pte Ltd, marking a significant milestone for our company.
At Yumada Fishing Tackles Pte Ltd, we deeply understand the significance of sustainable fishing practices. We take pride in offering "catch-and-release" rigs, which enable fishermen to release their catch unharmed. Moreover, we are actively working towards eliminating the use of toxic lead in fishing products. Through our partnership with Temasek Polytechnic's Launchpad incubation program and the unwavering support of their I&ED department, we are developing bismuth-based alternatives to revolutionize the industry.

TODAYonline: Young anglers spreading message of sustainable fishing through social media and workshops
Speaking to TODAY last week, Haikkel Firdhaus, a student from Temasek Polytechnic, said that the importance of sustainable fishing practices hit him the day after the circuit breaker was lifted. Haikkel had created SGFishingRigz together with Co-Founders, Wayne Peh, Benjamin Brighton, and Lucas Phua in January 2021. They will be co-hosting a four-hour workshop with Marine Stewards at Bedok Jetty to educate new anglers on sustainable fishing practices.

SGFishingRigz has undergone a rebranding and is now known as The SGFR Store. The SGFR Store currently only sells Imported Candy/ Snacks.
To better serve the fishing community, The SGFR Store has partnered with Dylan Ng and acquired Yumada Fishing. This allows us to maintain their commitment to providing top-notch fishing products. The acquisition of Yumada Fishing enhances the customer experience and ensures that we can continue catering to fishing enthusiasts. With the partnership, customers can now enjoy the convenience of shopping for high-quality fishing equipment and accessories both in-store and online, expanding our reach and making it more accessible to a wider audience.

Why did SGFishingRigz become The SGFR Store
The SGFR Store made the decision to transition from selling Fishing Equipment to Candies in our Tampines Store. While we initially started the Fishing Tackle Store out of our love for fishing, we noticed a decline in demand for fishing equipment as people's interests shifted. With the reopening of borders, many individuals stopped fishing, resulting in a decrease in sales for fishing stores across Singapore.
Additionally, a significant portion of our team, who were avid anglers, were about to serve National Service. This led us to reevaluate our business model and explore new opportunities. Through extensive market research and analysis, we identified a growing demand for confectionery products, particularly in the Tampines area.
By adapting to the changing market dynamics and responding to customer preferences, we made the strategic decision to focus on confectionery products in our store. This transition allowed us to better serve the needs and desires of our customers while also ensuring the long-term sustainability of our business.
We remain committed to providing high-quality products and excellent customer service, and we are excited to embark on this new venture in the confectionery industry.

Refund policy
- At SGFishingRigz Pte Ltd, we have a 3-day return policy. This means you have 3 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it unused and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
- To start a return, you can contact us at yumadafishing@gmail.com. If your return is accepted, we will send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
- Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
- Used items cannot be returned. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
